Since 2019, ESSENCESIP Tea Co. has committed to donating 10% of total sales to approved nonprofit partners each year, with 100% of contributions going directly to the partners of our choosing.
Our team chose to join the "1% for the Planet", "Ethical Tea Partnership" and "Giving Back To Nature" movements as its nonprofit partners focus solely on finding solutions to some of the worst environmental issues facing the planet today.
Big journeys are made of small steps. As passionate members of 1% for the Planet, we give 1% of our turnover to environmental and social causes.
The need for more funding and for advocates working for solutions is real and pressing, but there is a problem.
Globally, giving to environmental causes constitutes only 3% of total charitable giving - and only 3% of this comes from businesses.
That’s where 1% for the Planet comes in. It connects businesses, consumers and non-profits, empowering all of us to drive big, positive change.
Here at Essencesip we’re very passionate about sustainability, which is why we source all of our ingredients from members of the Ethical Trade Partnership.
A cup of tea wakes us up in the morning, a calming brew of herbal tea helps relax us at night. Tea is an intrinsic part of many people’s routines, across the world.
It is important for us that the tea industry is part of a sustainable growth story — one that enables better opportunities for all stakeholders across the supply chain.
The ETP is a non-commercial partnership of tea companies committed to improving the lives of tea workers and their environment, to create a thriving tea industry that is socially just and environmentally sustainable.
As human beings, We personally think that it is imperative that we give back. Give back to our community, to a charity we believe in, to our planet, in other words, give back any which way we can.
We have had the distinct privilege to travel to some of the most beautiful places on Earth and witness the stunning beauty and fragility of our planet.
It is for those reasons and for future generations to experience what we were fortunate enough to witness.
Give Back to Nature‘s Project first goal will be to help plant One Million Trees in developing countries, thus rebuilding the natural landscapes destroyed by deforestation.
